Chain Stratagems

In matters of dear import, one must often use several stratagems applied simultaneously, one after another, as a chain. However, one must also remember that with several interdependent plans operating together, it only takes one of them failing to break the chain, potentially resulting in overall failure.

Chain Stratagems is associated with the seventh hexagram, Earth over Water. The yang line in the second position is the general, or commander, and links together the surrounding yin lines, which are his subordinates The general is wholly responsible for these subordinates and can, without interference, link together and implement multifaceted plans [1], [28].
